NEIL BUCHAN
I am 45 years old with partner Lisa and have two children Pamela 16 and Bradley 6. I am a director of a construction company. I started riding motorcycles in 1973, successfully competing in schoolboy motocross and finishing up in the Scottish adult championship class. I retired from active competition to start my family and business, but as racing is in the blood decided that I wanted to take part in the possibly the hardest challenge of my life the “Dakar”. |

EWAN BUCHAN
I am 40 years old with partner Lynne and have three children Jack 15, Blair 7 and Robbie 3. I am a director of several companies, Scotland’s biggest towbar fitting centre, a 4x4 hire company and a coachworks. I started riding motorcycles in 1982 competing in schoolboy motocross and like my brother finished up in the Scottish adult championship class. More recently I successfully turned my hand to road racing in the 600cc class, narrowly missing out on being the first rider to lap at 100mph on the Scottish East Fortune track, but my love of off-road racing has prevailed once again, and my ambition of using my riding skills on the “Dakar “ is going to happen. |
